By AnomalyHurricane Sandy is barreling down on the east coast while a video is circulating which displays Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s aversion to FEMA. During the Presidential debate, Romney stated his desire to close down the program.
To confirm Romney’s point of view with a disaster program, GOP strategist Ron Bonjean chimes in on CNN, “..most people don’t have a positive impression of FEMA, and I think Mitt Romney is right on the button. I don’t think anybody cares about that right now.”
This is akin to Romney wanting to repeal ObamaCare yet, has nothing to replace it with. Just gut it. It’s not just Mitt Romney — it’s the Republican Party.
FYI: If the sequester takes place, FEMA will be hit with nearly $900 million in tax cuts.
