NC's Senate race tops $100M

North Carolina's 2014 U.S. Senate race has the most negative political advertisements of any race in the nation. Spending on NC's Senate race tops $100M, roughly 70 cents of every dollar has come from outside groups. More than 90,000 ads – most of them attacks.

wral.com :

" In total, outside groups account for $72 million of the race's spending.

More than half of the spending has gone toward television ads. Each side has spent roughly $27 million on ads, according to the nonpartisan Center for Public Integrity's analysis of ad-tracking firm Kantar/CMAG data.

The nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation has been tracking spending by candidates and their allies, based on their campaign finance reports. The numbers omit spending from nonprofit groups such as Americans for Prosperity, the organization backed by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch. "

NC Bob Buckley of Fox8 News will help us by fact-checking several of these ads. The ads covered are tame compared to the ones dueling--running back to back, every commercial break, 24/7, every channel, no escape...blah! this week. These negative ads also extremely misleading from both candidates forced me to turn off over-the-air TV until political season is over.

Sarah Palin To Hannity: 'John McCain Should Be Our President'

Half-term Gov. of Alaska Sarah Palin (R-Drunk)) joined Sean Hannity on his show Thursday night to respond to President Obama's strategy to combat ISIS. Noticeably absent from her word salady message was any response over the drunken brawl her family was involved in.

Because if she feels that John McCain should be president, then she thinks she would make a worthy vice president, and typically low info street brawlers are frowned upon in elected office.

Palin decried the "arrogance" and "deception" of the Obama administration. "[Obama] claimed last night that ISIS is not Islamic. Um, ISIS says they're Islamic. They are so full of deception that America should be absolutely concerned with the policies that are going on," she said.

"The thought going through my mind was, I owe America a global apology. Because through all of this, John McCain should be our president. He had the advice - still giving it today to Barack Obama but he will not listen to it - about the residual forces that must be left behind in order to secure the peace in Iraq that we had fought so hard for. He was right on the surge," Palin said.

I'm not sure why she's apologizing unless she's admitting that McCain's choice of veep was a poor one.

Hannity Guest: It's Janay Rice's Fault For 'Knocking Herself Out' On The Elevator Railing

Apparently it's Janay Rice's fault for having the audacity for 'knocking herself out' when her poor victim of a husband punched her in the head. At least according to a guest on Sean Hannity's show.

Columnist A.J. Delgado for National Review told Hannity on Wednesday that Ray Rice's wife, Janay, had actually "knocked herself out" by hitting her head on a railing when he punched her. Apparently,  that makes the former NFL player the "bigger victim." "

We know how domestic violence abuse victims react sometimes," Hannity said. "And they have a hard time getting away from the people that are victimizing them and abusing them."

 Crooks and Liars reports:
Delgado argued, however, that Janay Rice did not consider herself a victim, "and some might even say, watching that video, Ray Rice is the bigger victim of domestic violence here."
She added that liberals were "patronizing" Janay Rice by calling her a victim. "We know the truth, though, because we've got the video tape,"
Hannity observed. "But you said he's a victim because why? Because she slapped him and spit on him?" "He absolutely is!" Delgado replied. "And some might say I'm defending Ray Rice here. Maybe I am, but if you watch the video, the video actually makes him look better than he did before."
"She repeatedly attacked him. He's a victim -- flat-out fact -- of domestic violence. Only after she's hit him several times and spit on him does he finally hit back. "And she happens because of that blow to knock herself out on the railing," she continued. "That was an unintended consequence, I'm sure." "I thought we live in this gender-neutral society. Liberals are always telling us men and women are exactly the same, they should not be treated any differently. But when it comes to domestic violence or rape accusations, the woman is automatically the wallflower, automatically the victim. I would love to have a liberal explain that to me."
Domestic violence is never OK, whether it comes from a man or a woman, but let's be clear. He knocked her out cold. Rice's manner was rather telling when he casually dragged her unconscious body out of the elevator without checking her pulse or without concern for her well being. This shouldn't be a right vs. left wing thing. An NFL player knocked a woman out. What's not to understand?

'Fox & Friends' Hosts Totally Have No Problem With Ray Rice Knocking His Wife Out

On Fox & Friends, Anna Kooiman, Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade thought Ray Rice punching his soon-to-be wife in the head and rendering her unconscious, was funny.

Steven Doocy said of Rice's wife Janay Palmer, "She still married him!"

"Rihanna went back to Chris Brown right after [he assaulted her]," Brian Kilmeade said.

"A lot of people thought that was a terrible message."

Doocy went on to compare the elevator video incident to Jay Z and Solange.

"I think the message is, take the stairs," Kilmeade remarked.

Doocy said, "The message is, when you're in an elevator, there's a camera."

Uhh...no. The message is not not pummel your wife. According to the Washington Post, a Fox News spokeswoman said that “Fox & Friends” will address this issue on the program tomorrow.

That's because they've been catching a lot of heat for their jokey jokes at the expense of yet another victim.

Images: Conservative Blogger Who Portrayed Mike Brown As A Thug, Seen With Friends Flashing Gang Signs

My Twitter pal @ProgressGA helped greatly with the content of this post.

Charles C. Johnson, a blogger who runs GotNews and previously contributed to the Daily Caller and Breitbart, has been working vigorously to besmirch the Brown family's reputation, including Michael, the slain Ferguson, Missouri teenager.

Johnson recently unearthed evidence that the unarmed black teen shot down by a police officer was a thug, because he hacked got into his Instagram account and discovered pictures of Brown being a teenager. Charles called the pictures "insane." Johnson caught Brown red-handed wearing jewelry and other despicable acts, such as taking a selfie.

Johnson captioned one writing, "Mike Brown getting ready to bust a cap selfie." Let's compare: Johnson's firearm versus Brown's selfie.

Johnson's thug friend is flashing gang signs.
My Twitter pals and I have been mercilessly trolling Chuck because he makes it so easy. More gang signs, yo.
Startling new information has surfaced regarding thug thugster Michael Brown.
Chuck describes Mike as "a misogynistic young man obsessed with drugs, money & violence." In fact, that describes Chuck Johnson perfectly.

He loves Todd Akin, because derp.

On drugs.

The answer to this question is, yes.
When Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, the highway patrol captain placed in charge of security in Ferguson Missouri, was photographed making hand signs, Conservatives lost their sh*t.
Ron Johnson, a black man, was flashing his fraternity sign, not a gang sign. One Conservative site stated,"The turning over of Ferguson security to Ron Johnson is nothing more than capitulation to negro mob rule."

Yes Charles, it's a really bad time to mention that 'some of your best friends are black' because no one believes you.

This is why we laugh at all of you.
He's grifting off of a dead teenager.

Charles doesn't think it's illegal to conspire with others to trespass in a nursing home to photograph a bedridden Alzheimer's patient: the wife of a US Senator.

He's a Tea Party predator, but claims no party. He's the sh*t on the heel of my shoe, which I can't shake off, because others support his quest.

We have possibly hundreds of screen grabs of Chuck C. Johnson's pathetic attempts to grift Republicans at the expense of a dead teenager.

Peas in a pod....

Conservative Blogger Unearths 'Insane' Pics Of Mike Brown Just Being A Teenager

Charles C. Johnson, a blogger who runs GotNews and previously contributed to the Daily Caller and Breitbart, has been on a roll lately trying to besmirch the Brown family, including Michael, the slain Ferguson, Missouri teenager.

After filing requests to see Michael Brown‘s alleged juvenile crime records, and coming up empty, he suggested hacking the deceased teenager's social media accounts.
Today he writes on his site, "Gotnews.com has exclusive obtained social media postings of Michael Brown that destroy the media narrative that Brown was nonviolent." For some reason, he added the 'GotNews' watermark on the pictures, as if he owns the rights to them, even though they are from the late Michael Brown's account."

He called this pictures 'insane.' No, really.

Did Charles C. Johnson hack Michael Brown's Instagram account? That would be considered illegal if he did. The big dummy even added captions, such as, "Mike Brown getting ready to bust a cap selfie."

Brown-GN

The caption for this one reads, "Mike Brown showing his Trayvon style black hoodie."

OMG, Mike Brown's hoodie is BLACK!

Brown-Trayvon

Now he's really uncovered something that will rock the foundation of Mike Brown's shooting death: Mike wore jewelry.  Johnson captions this one, "Mike Brown sporting some bling bling."
  Brown-Bling

I wear some jewelry, too. Please don't shoot me Charles. My hands are up, mmkay? As it happens, I'm wearing two rings, too, and a gold chain, but mine has a cross and two lockets on it. I guess I'm more of a gangsta than Mike was. That's right, I'm a 56-year-old bling wearing, gangsta! Bitchez better look out.

MOAR earth shattering news: Mike Brown quoted song lyrics. Brown-song

A teenager smoking weed? That does it. Darren Wilson is innocent, because no teenager ever has smoked weed, me included (wink wink).

The most sickening part of Johnson's post is that he concludes it with, "If you like the work Gotnews.com does and want to continue funding our research or lawsuits, please consider donating here."

I refuse to link to his grifting FundMe page. A teenager is dead. He's trying to trash Mr. Brown's character and even linked him with another slain teen, Trayvon Martin.

9-year-old calls police on neighbor for racist, terroristic threats to family:‘ 'KKK wants you to burn’

Louisville, Kentucky Police arrested a man who terrorized his Hispanic neighbors.  According to an arrest warrant, the trouble started on Aug. 31st when a Hispanic family was arriving home and discovered that their neighbor, 51-year-old Douglas Poynter, had painted the words "KKK wants you to burn" on the side of his fence, facing their house.

In addition,  Poynter had erected a cross with the word "burn" written underneath it, according to police.

Poynter was still standing in his yard -- covered in paint -- when the family arrived. When the family asked him why he would do this, Poynter allegedly swore at them yelling, "F____ you. F_____ all you immigrants." "He started threatening me and said the first chance I get, you're mine. I'm gonna shoot you. Then he started pointing his shotgun out of the window," Jesus Alamo said.

According to WDRB,  At that point, Poynter then swung his fist at Jesus Alamo, who pushed him back.

The victim's 9-year-old step-daughter then said she was going to call the police, so Poynter went inside his home and came out with a shotgun, police say, pointing at the Hispanic father, who was holding his 22-month-old son in his arms at the time, and telling him that he would shoot him the first chance he got, either in the front or the back.

When police arrived on the scene, the found that Poynter was inebriated.

On Sept. 1st, the family came outside their home and noticed a strong stench of gasoline, according to the warrant, and noticed a puddle of gas on the porch.

That's when the father instructed his family to go out the patio door, but they allegedly noticed gasoline on a rubber mat outside that door as well.

Another puddle of gasoline was discovered when the family tried to exit the home from a laundry room door, according to the warrant.

So they called the police.

WDRB reports that while the family waited for officers to arrive, Poynter allegedly walked out of his home with the shotgun and began waving it around, pointing it at the father and saying, "Sooner or later, you're gonna die. You and your family."

When police arrived, they found Poynter with the gun so they drew their own weapons.

According to the warrant, the victim claims to have had trouble with Poynter for several months, including one incident in which Poynter walked into his family's home without being invited. Police say the man's children -- 12-year-old twins and a 22-month-old -- are terrified of Poynter. An arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 2, and Poynter was arrested later that afternoon. He was charged with criminal trespassing, attempted arson, terroristic threatening, wanton endangerment, harassment and menacing. In court on Wednesday, Poynter shook his head as court officials described what he's accused of doing. By the afternoon, he was released from jail on a $10,000 bond. Alamo was alerted by an automated message as we were speaking to him. "And if I feel like I'm in any kind of danger to call the authorities," Alamo said, describing what the message told him. While neighbors describe Poynter as friendly, Alamo says this hasn't been the case for his family for the past few months. With family nearby, he doesn't have plans to move. He says he's hoping the harassment will stop. "Don't even look at me. Don't look at my kids," Alamo said when speaking about his neighbor.

Right Wing Radio Host: Obama preparing to gun down 'all you white crackers'

Right wing radio shrieker Michael Savage promoted his new book, “Stop the Coming Civil War,” while saying President Obama and the Department of Homeland Security are hoping to “mow down” white people and “stimulate insurrection in this country in order to declare martial law.”

 He's discovered our nefarious plot!

Savage discussed the demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri and the Bundy Ranch standoff, saying he believes Obama is so close to inciting a civil war by enacting immigration reform.

Audio courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

“This entire government is geared up to fight a war against white people,” Savage declared. “What if a group of white people had rioted or does riot in America after Obama grants amnesty? What if they loot and they burn? You know and I know the attorney general is not going to come out and say, ‘I feel your pain.’

Savage went on to say“Could this be the most racist administration in American history? Are we allowed to ask the question? Do you know of a modern American presidency that was as racist as the Obama administration?”

Right Wing Watch reports, "Savage also claimed that the Department of Homeland Security isn’t paying attention to groups like ISIS because they are too busy “planning your insurrection” and preparing to gun down “all you evil white crackers.”

Calling this administration "racist' while demonizing Ferguson protests and breathlessly defending Bundy ranch militia members, who aimed rifles at Federal agents, is in fact, racist. One man refused to pay his bills and garnered the right wing's support. A black unarmed teenager is gunned down, and he's a "thug."

Fox Pundit: Using Images from James Foley beheading video is ‘perfectly fair’ for GOP campaign ads

Conservative radio host Lars Larson told Fox News on Tuesday that it was “perfectly fair” for Republican candidates to use images from a video in which an American journalist was beheaded.

Larson went as far as to call Obama the 'Playboy president" because he plays golf, which is just like what other presidents have done before him..

New Mexican Republican Senate candidate Allen Weh released the apocalyptic-type video ad on Monday which includes a frame from the video of the ISIS member who beheaded James Foley.

The ad does not include an image of Foley when he met his gruesome death at the hands of a terrorist, but it does use the startling image of the masked killer holding a knife.

The ad attacks Obama for playing golf, and tries to link Weh’s opponent, Democratic Sen. Tom Udall, to the administration’s foreign policy, according to the Raw Story.

Marjorie Clifton, a former Obama campaign consultant, said that the ad “creates a really distasteful environment in terms of negative campaigning.”

In contrast, Larson called the ad “perfectly fair.” “James Foley’s executioner, the image is very powerful,” he said “It reminds us of something important. A lot of Democrats don’t want to be tied to this president’s policies — although they are — because this president is playing while ISIS is out killing people.” “It isn’t September 10th any more,” Larson added. “It is past Sept. 11th, 2001. It’s a different era. And this president, back when he wanted this job, said, ‘I will give up vacations, I will give up time with my family.’ Well, he’s done anything but. He’s the playboy president.” “So of course, you’re going to see that image played.”

Just a guess here, but if Democrats started using images of the World Trade Center taken as bombs flew into the structures, in a campaign ad, we would never hear the end of it.

Fox News: Referring To Michael Brown As "Unarmed Teen" Might Be Misleading Because He Was Tall

Fox News contributor Linda Chavez appeared on "Fox & Friends" and discussed whether the "unarmed teen" description of Michael Brown is misleading. She argued that such a description enhances racial fears and is an attempt to play the "race card."

Chavez and co-host Steve Doocy aired surveillance footage from the convenience store that Michael Brown allegedly robbed before his death, and used that footage to argue that describing Brown as an "unarmed teen" at the time of the shooting is misleading.

  Media Matters reports:
In an op-ed Chavez wrote for the New York Post, she argued that "The actual images of Brown on the video surely do not bring to mind a harmless teen." During the segment on Fox, on-screen text asked if the "unarmed teen" description of Michael Brown was misleading while Chavez argued that Brown was an adult male "who is six foot four and weighs almost three hundred pounds":
Chavez said, "I think that what is happening is really not calming racial fears but is actually enhancing them by acting as if, you know, this mantra of the unarmed black teenager shot by a white cop." She continued to say (unfortunately), "You know, that description in and of itself actually colors the way in which we look at this story. We're talking about an 18-year-old man who is six foot four and weighs almost three hundred pounds, who is videotaped just moments before the confrontation with a police officer strong arming an employee and robbing a convenience store."

That tape is not proven and the police were asked not to release it for a reason.

So apparently it's acceptable to shoot tall people to death. On that note, I'm somewhat tall for a female, so fuck them very much for that. And if I wear heels, I'm a lethal weapon.

Guest To Sean Hannity: 'I don't need your kind of education' on police brutality in Ferguson

Fox News host Sean Hannity attempted to "educate" Democratic committeewoman Patricia Bynes on police brutality Wednesday night by pointing out that she was not present when Michael Brown was shot by a white police officer on Aug. 9th.

"You were not there. So you don't know if this case is about police brutality, do you?" Hannity asked.

"No, I do know that this case is about police brutality," Bynes said. "We're talking about excessive force here. There is no way that a young man that is unarmed should have two shots in his head. That's a little excessive. That's what we mean when we say police brutality."

Hannity said, "Let me educate you, committeewoman,"

"No, I don't need your kind of education," Bynes shot back.

"Let me educate you about the legal system in America," the Fox host interrupted. "You can try to talk over me, but let me tell you in our system of justice a person is innocent until proven guilty."

TPM reports:

The rest of their roughly four minute exchange followed the same pattern of interruptions, with Bynes complaining that Hannity had cut her microphone off at one point because she challenged him. She then rolled her eyes when Hannity insisted she can't be sure whether Brown's shooting constituted police brutality.

"Legally let me educate you again," Hannity said. "If [Brown] was charging at the police officer, the police officer, by law, that would be defined as justifiable use of force. You're aware of that, right, committeewoman?"

"I'm very much aware of that," Bynes said. "But there's no way an unarmed man should have two shots in his head and four in his body. So you keep wanting to talk over the facts, but I think you need the education here."

Sean Hannity advocated for the Bundy ranch militia and the welfare cowboy rancher in Nevada, in addition to supporting George Zimmerman so this is no surprise.

Missouri's Capt. Johnson Flashes Fraternity Sign, So Naturally, He Gets Called A 'Gang Member'

Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson, the highway patrol captain placed in charge of security in Ferguson Missouri, was photographed making hand signs that some quickly thought were gang signs, because we all know how gangstas and frat boys are so much alike.

.

Johnson was in a black fraternity called Kappa Alpha Psi. Warning to the black community: Please don't move your hands in public. Don't have them in your pockets either, and certainly never Openly Carry Skittles or Iced Tea.

  Talking Points Memo reports:
The Washington Post's Soraya Nadia McDonald in a post published early on Wednesday pointed out that the hand signs Johnson had been making in photographs some thought were gang signs were actually fraternity hand signs. Soraya wrote: To reiterate: Capt. Johnson is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, a black fraternity that was formed in 1911 at Indiana University in Bloomington, and the hand sign you see in the pictures below is a Kappa greeting. The Kappas are part of the Divine Nine or the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the nine historically black fraternities and sororities that include Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho and Iota Phi Theta, none of which are gangs. The idea that Johnson was actually displaying gang signs seem to have been rooted in a CNN iReport post that, as the Post points out, seems to have been taken down. But the idea that Johnson was a member of the Bloods or some other gang still gained momentum on Twitter.

One Conservative site states,"The turning over of Ferguson security to Ron Johnson is nothing more than capitulation to negro mob rule." That's right, negroes are acting all uppity by flashing their fraternity signs.
A police officer in Ferguson pointed his assault rifle at journalists who were streaming the protests, saying "I will fucking kill you". When asked his name his reply is "Go fuck yourself". Eric Holder Sends Message To Ferguson On Eve Of Visit

Evidence in the shooting of Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer will be presented to a grand jury beginning Wednesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

"We are going to attempt to start giving evidence to the grand jury (Wednesday), depending upon the ability to get the witnesses in and the witnesses showing up," sa Ed Magee, spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch said.

"It will be handled by the attorney regularly assigned to the grand jury. It will not be by Mr. McCulloch."

According to the Dispatch,  The standing St. Louis County Circuit Court grand jury, not a special assembly, will hear the evidence.

I can't imagine what witnesses would step forward in a city that already distrusts law enforcement.

On the eve of Eric Holder's visit, he wrote a message to the people of Ferguson.

The Attorney General said that he has dedicated an extraordinary effort to investigate the shooting.

"The Justice Department will defend the right of protesters to peacefully demonstrate and for the media to cover a story that must be told," Holder wrote. "But violence cannot be condoned. I urge the citizens of Ferguson who have been peacefully exercising their First Amendment right to join with law enforcement in condemning the actions of looters, vandals and others seeking to inflame tensions and sow discord."

Those witnesses had better step up because the police are all over this.

Ferguson Protester Blasts Fox Reporter: 'Say That Sh*t' (Video)

After a Fox News correspondent referred to the latest round of violence in Ferguson, Mo. as "child's play," he was confronted by a protester.

Steve Harrigan made some jaw dropping statements in describing the scene to anchor Shepard Smith.

"This is right now a media event, pure and simple. This is people running towards tear gas, running away from it," Harrigan said.

"The dignified protesters went home at dusk. This is just child’s play right now."

A  demonstrator confronted Harrigan on the air saying, "Say that shit! No, say that shit,!"

"I'm on TV right now," Harrigan responded

."I don't give a damn. Ya'll on TV. I don't care about that shit," the man shot back.

"Uh oh, "Shep  Smith could be heard saying from the Fox studio.

Video Footage Of Michael Brown Seen Paying For Cigarillos

When the Ferguson police released security camera video from a store near the area 18-year-old Michael Brown was gunned down by a police officer, they didn't show all of the footage. Just to be clear: Even if Brown did shoplift from the store, that crime does not carry a death penalty.

Police called the incident a "strong armed" robbery, however, another angle shows a different story:

Fox News Host: Robbery Video Suggests Ferguson 'Officer Was Justified' In Killing Mike Brown

On Sunday, Fox News host Juliet Huddy suggested that the Ferguson Police Department in Missouri was right to release video of a robbery, even though the Department of Justice asked them not to, because it could convince protesters that the "officer was justified" when he killed unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
Her co-host reacted to FBI agents investigating the shooting without noting the Ferguson police department's history of racism. While discussing whether the tape should have been released, the Fox talkers did not ackhowledget that that tape sparked anger in the community because the police chief attempted to blame the deceased teenager for his officer shooting him dead.

Aside from that, when has it ever been OK to shoot someone down for stealing a pack of cigars? Cliven Bundy owes $1.2 million and he's alive and well, with militia members at his side. None of the militia members who aimed rifles at federal agents were shot down but Mike Brown is dead.

This Republican Senator Isn't Exactly A Fan Of Fox News

Republican Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn called out some shows on Fox News, deeming them as “totally not fair and totally not balanced."

He continued to say, “The truth is somewhere in between the three," in reference to
 MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News.

“There are certain shows on Fox I can’t watch,” Coburn said. “Because they’re totally not fair and totally not balanced. I want all the information in which I can make the best decision.”

Buzzfeed reports, "Coburn was speaking as part of his farewell town hall tour Wednesday at the southeast campus of Tulsa Community College. The senator is retiring this year; he is currently being treated for a recurrence of prostate cancer. Coburn was responding to a question about how he would “fix” media to focus on less superficial things if he was in charge of it. He said he also reads the New York Times and Wall Street Journal saying “the real problem is we’ve lost the professionalism of journalism.”"

Ann Coulter:Just Vote For Any 'Crap-Ass' Republican

The Coultergeist stuck up for the Republican Party in a bizarre fashion on Tuesday by telling Sean Hannity that voters need to support any "crap-ass" GOPer over the Democrats.

That sort of leaves the field wide open really.

Just abandon the field right now, you have to vote Republican even if it’s for a crap-ass Republican," Coulter remarked on Hannity's radio show. "And I would name them but I’m not going to,” she added. Hannity began naming names starting with House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), and declared that "he’s a horrible speaker.”

TPM reports, "The two descended into a squabble over how far to take criticism of Boehner and the GOP more broadly, until Coulter got the last word."

"He's bad on amnesty but look, who cares — there are a lot of bad Republicans, there are no good Democrats," she said. "The country is in the balance. You have to vote Republican right now.”

Tucker Carlson Slams Fox For Gun Safety Report, Because Kids Die In Bathtubs

By: Anomaly

Fox host Tucker Carlson wasn't happy with his own network's report on gun safety which instructed parents to be sure to ask if guns were secure while visiting other people's homes with their children.

“The point of that package was, guns are scary, gun owners are a threat to you and your children,” Carlson said. “And the truth is, while a child’s death is the worst tragedy imaginable, far more children died last year drowning in their bathtubs than were killed accidentally by guns.”

“So, I would like to see a package on, do you have a bathtub at home? Because I need to know that before I send my child over to your house,” he said. “A little perspective might be helpful.”

Co-host Clayton Morris noted that Fox & Friends had covered swimming pool safety, but Carlson was focused on bathtubs.

“How about bathtub safety?” Carlson asked

“Well, that’s a great question too,” Morris responded.

“Take a look at the places with the highest levels of gun ownership, they're also the safest places,” Carlson declared.

“You’re not going to get hurt in Maine or Wyoming or Vermont, right?”

“If somebody asked me — the fact that 93 percent of people don’t mind if you ask them if they have a firearm at home — I find that a very private question,” Carlson said. “It’s something the government wants to know because they would like to disarm you. Because it’s something that I’m not comfortable talking about with other people. And I would be offended by that question.”

Watch: Sean Hannity Totally Loses His Sh*t With Palestinian Guest

Sean Hannity became increasingly hostile toward a Palestinian guest on Thursday.

Before cutting off Yousef Munayyer, the executive director of The Jerusalem Fund and Palestine Center in Washington, Hannity proudly displayed his bias.

Hannity asked, "Is Hamas a terrorist organization?" Hannity asked.

“Do I get to actually speak now?” Munayyer said.

"You get to answer the question, it’s a simple yes or no question,” Hannity responded.

“Sir, you invited me on here as a guest,” Munayyer said.

“I’m asking a question," Hannity said again. "Is Hamas, whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel, is that a terrorist organization? That’s a yes or no question.”

“Thank you for your question and now I will provide an answer,” Munayyer replied. “It’s very telling to me, and it should be telling to your viewers by the way, that the moment you have a Palestinian voice on your program who begins to explain the legitimate grievances of Palestinians on the ground, not just Hamas--”

Hannity began shouting at Munayyer to answer the question.

"Am I a guest on your program or am I on the witness stand here?" Munayyer asked.

"Yeah you're a guest, but you don't get to filibuster," Hannity said. "Answer, is Hamas a terrorist organization?"

Munayyer answered, saying that the United States designates Hamas as such.

"What part of this can't you get through your thick head?" Hannity shot back.

Munayyer asked if he would get to say anything further. "You had your chance," Hannity said as he cut off the guest. "You didn’t say Hamas is a terrorist organization. Goodbye.”

Here's Why Twitter Users Are Tweeting, "Oh my God, I'm a Republicunt!"

When watching the show "True Blood," Pam and Eric fans know that bloody scenes are inevitable, however, Sunday night's episode offered a little something extra.

The Huffington Post reports:
Vampires Eric and his progeny Pam attended a Ted Cruz fundraiser supposedly held at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas to search for the parents of their enemy, Sarah Newlin. Trying to blend in, Eric dons a Western-style suit with a bolo instead of a necktie while Pam puts on a purple dress worthy of a gala on either side of the aisle. But when she catches a glimpse of herself in a mirror, Pam utters a line that would light up Twitter:

Fox's Todd Starnes Blames/Mocks Obama After 295 Lives Were Lost In Malaysia Airlines Crash

Fox's Todd Starnes portrays how a right wing Christian reacts to the potential deaths of 295 souls after the Malaysian Airline passenger jet was possibly shot down by separatists. Breathlessly, Todd ran to his Twitter account to demean Obama, without one Tweet expressing grief for the hundreds of lives on that jet.

It's all about taking jabs at Obama:

He should hang his head in shame, but that would mean he has a conscience and we know that's not true.

New Analysis Shows Which Network Lies The Most. Spoiler: Fox Is Full of Big Fat Liars

This following will totally shock no one ever. According to a new analysis by PunditFact, fully half the statements by Fox News hosts and guests were false, mostly false, or outright lies. I know, that can't possibly explain why Fox has so many viewers, but it does explain the dumbing down of America.

Other networks are spewing lies and misinformation, but there are more big fat liars on Fox News than the other networks.

 Let's compare:

Poor 'Holly Hobby Lobby' Doesn't Understand Why The Internet Is Laughing At Her

'Holly Hobby Lobby' made her way on to Fox News. She's been circulating pictures of herself on Twitter and now she's ready for more attention. However, it didn't go over so well the last time.
The recent picture of her holding an AR-15 and a Bible in front of the American flag -- which was supposed to make leftists' heads explode -- turned into the joke of the Internet, because her picture bore a resemblance to a suicide bomber known as the 'White Widow'.
Fox thinks we're 'intolerant' for pointing out the obvious that both women are wrapped in the flag. Both women believe they are 'patriots.' Both women are wrong.
HOLLY 'HOBBY LOBBY': “It’s shocking for me that people would compare someone who is standing in front of our flag that represents our freedom on Independence Day. I’m holding my First and Second Amendment rights in my hand and it all represents freedom, and they want to compare me to a woman who is quite the opposite. She despises everything about this country and hates this country and would kill all of us if given an opportunity. I don’t understand where the logic comes from.”
...

“I expected less backlash with this than I did the first one because the picture is, like, America’s founding principles. That’s all that’s in the picture. And I really didn't think it would cause the uproar that it has.”

Watch:

Holly has since removed the 'Hobby Lobby' moniker from her profile on Twitter, but to the rest of us, she'll always be Little Holly Hobby Lobby.

What the gay rights movement learned from the civil rights movement - TedTalk

" As a member of both the African American and LGBT communities, filmmaker Yoruba Richen is fascinated with the overlaps and tensions between the gay rights and the civil rights movements. She explores how the two struggles intertwine and propel each other forward — and, in an unmissable argument, she dispels a myth about their points of conflict. A powerful reminder that we all have a stake in equality. " -- http://www.ted.com/talks/yoruba_richen_what_the_gay_rights_movement_learned_from_the_civil_rights_movement#t-5363
