Gun Nut goes vigilante at Walmart, opens fire in pursuit of a shoplifter

By Anomaly

A Florida man was arrested after opening fire in a busy Walmart parking lot. 35 year-old Jose Martinez discharged at least five bullets in the parking lot, claiming he was trying to stop a suspected shoplifter. “I saw one black gentleman running from the parking lot, he dove in his car. And there were two older gentlemen chasing him down. One drew a gun, ripped open the guys car door and screamed, ‘Freeze, freeze, don’t move!’ And then fired shots,” -- continued here:

GOP Dick Moves: Gov McCrory (R) Signs off on ‘pink licenses’ to be issued to undocumented immigrants

Gov. Pat Mcrory has accomplished something: Two dick moves in one week. North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory (R) last Tuesday signed into law a measure which will cut benefits for unemployed workers by about one-third and reduce how long they can collect any aid in his state which holds the fifth-highest unemployment rate in the country. It’s as if he’s trying to harm his constituents. And today, apparently channeling Sheriff Joe, he signed off  on the controversial “pink licenses” that will be issued to some young undocumented immigrants who were granted protection from deportation for two years. Because humiliating people is so much fun! Apparently. -- continued here:

Former GOP candidate who promised to go after thugs & criminals was arrested for shoplifting

February 16, 2013

Former Republican candidate for Alabama agriculture commissioner, Dale Peterson, created ads in the 2010 Republican primary featuring him holding a rifle and promising to go after thugs and criminals in Montgomery politics. The ads went viral on YouTube, but Peterson finished third, however they did make him a popular speaker at Republican events and an adviser to Herman Cain in his presidential bid last year. Peterson also said in his ad that the position he’s running for is responsible for over $5 billion. But, hes now charged with shoplifting $40 worth of merchandise.

After venturing to a Wal-Mart, then using the bathroom, Peterson was stopped by employees taking a shopping cart of beer and paper towels past the store’s cash registers without paying for the items.

The AP reports that Peterson is blaming thugs and criminals for spreading word about his arrest to keep him from making another campaign in 2014. -- continued:

A Second former LAPD officer releases a manifesto

February 11, 2013

Christopher Dorner is creating quite a firestorm of attention directed toward the Los Angles Police Department, and now his efforts have doubled in another manifesto created by former LAPD Officer Joe Jones.

In its entirety, it reads exactly (typos and grammatical errors included):

“My Former LAPD Officer Joe Jones MANIFESTO…

I know most of you who personally who me are in disbelief of the partial story I will tell today. A story that has been suppressed for about 18 years, But lives strong everyday of my life.

I without hesitation would like to send my condolences to the Victims who were lost and their families during this tragic situation. I would also like to send my condolences and well wishes to the many former and current Officers, as well as Citizen’s and their families who lost the lives and souls of loved one’s to the injustices of Police Corruption, Scandal, Lies, Deception and Brutality.

Unlike Former Officer Dorner, I fear dying; But I also fear living in a society where Innocent people are dying for no reason. A society where pain so great can be afflicted to people who have to desire to live right and treat people right and then be punished for doing right.

They say we all look alike. In very few cases this of course is true. But in most cases it is not. I feel a resemblance to Dorner, (See Photos) However several people who have no resemblance to Dorner have been shot due to the fear of what is taking place. I DO NOT WANT TO BE SHOT FOR CRIMES I DID NOT COMMIT!. Neither does anyone else.

To preface my story I will say this: Just like former Officer Christopher Dorner I used to smile a lot. I loved everyone. I was voted Friendliest Senior of my Sr. Class in High School. I always believed in the system and never got into any trouble. I loved hard and gave to all I could. After Joining the LAPD in 1989 I quickly found out that ... " -- continued here:

Christopher Dorner brings public scrutiny on the LAPD: video of alleged victim of police abuse

February 8, 2013

The Police have launched a massive manhunt for Christopher Dorner, who allegedly shot a couple in Irvine earlier this week and a police officer. But, there is more to this story than is being reported. Dorner is an ex-cop and a whistleblower. The suspect is identified as being a Black, male, heavy in stature and 33-years-old. During the LAPD’s frenzied manhunt, they shot civilians. Two women delivering L.A. Times newspapers, one 47 and the other 71 were shot by the police as suspects. according to Political Carnival.  Trained police officers mistook  the two females for a large black man? Even if we overlook this, which we should not, the reason Dorner was fired was because he blew the whistle on allegedly corrupt officers in the LAPD.

An excerpt from Dorner’s manifesto:

In 8/07 I reported an officer (Ofcr. —–/now a Sergeant), for kicking a suspect (excessive force) during a Use of Force while I was assigned as a patrol officer at LAPD’s Harbor Division. While cuffing the suspect, (—–), —– kicked the suspect twice in the chest and once in the face. The kick to the face left a visible injury on the left cheek below the eye. Unfortunately after reporting it to supervisors and investigated by PSB (internal affairs investigator Det. —–), nothing was done. I had broken their supposed “Blue Line”. Unfortunately, It’s not JUST US, it’s JUSTICE!!! In fact, 10 months later on 6/25/08, after already successfully completing probation, acquiring a basic Post Certificate, and Intermediate Post Certificate, I was relieved of duty by the LAPD while assigned to patrol at Southwest division. It is clear as day that the department retaliated toward me for reporting —– for kicking Mr. —–. The department stated that I had lied and made up the report that —– had kicked the suspect. I later went to a Board of Rights (department hearing for decision of continued employment) from 10/08 to 1/09. During this BOR hearing a video was played for the BOR panel where —– stated that he was indeed kicked by Officer —– (video sent to multiple news agencies). In addition to —– stating he was kicked, his father —–, also stated that his son had stated he was kicked by an officer when he was arrested after being released from custody. This was all presented for the department at the BOR hearing. They still found me guilty and terminated me. What they didn’t mention was that the BOR panel made up of Capt. —–, Capt. —–, and City Attorney —– had a significant problem from the time the board was assembled. Capt. —– was a personal friend of —– from when he was her supervisor at Harbor station. That is a clear conflict of interest and I made my argument for his removal early and was denied. The advocate for the LAPD BOR was Sgt. —–. —– also had a conflict of interest as she was —– friend and former partner from Harbor division where they both worked patrol together. I made my argument for her removal when I discovered her relation to —– and it was denied.

Fox News now the least trusted network as ratings plummet and poll numbers take a dive

February 6, 2013

PPP’s annual poll on TV news found that there’s only one source more Americans trust than distrust: PBS. 52% of voters say they trust PBS to only 29% who don’t trust it. The other seven outlets we polled on are all distrusted by a plurality of  voters. PPP expands on Fox News’ ratings, which have plummeted, “Just like its actual ratings, Fox News has hit a record low in the four years that we’ve been doing this poll. 41% of voters trust it to 46% who do not. To put those numbers into some perspective the first time we did this poll, in 2010, 49% of voters trusted it to 37% who did not.” On a side note: Who are these people that trust Fox News?

“We continue to find that Democrats trust most tv news sources other than Fox, while  Republicans don’t trust anything except Fox,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public  Policy Polling. “News preferences are very polarizing along party lines.”

More Americans identify Fox News as the outlet they trust the least- 39% In contrast, 14% distrust MSNBC, 13% distrust CNN, 12% distrust Comedy Central, 5% for ABC and CBS, 3% for NBC, and 1% for PBS.

As reported here, Fox News is enduring its worst primetime ratings among a key group of viewers since 2001 in January,; MSNBC’s are up.  January 2013 marked Fox News Channel’s lowest 25-54 delivery (226,000) in Sales Prime since August 2001.  That’s a 12 year low for anyone is calculating the damage in terms of years.

Sarah Palin is out. Dick Morris has been shown the door.  Apparently, Americans don’t like piles of shit shoveled into their TV sets anymore.

H/T: Mr. Sweetie, with thanks.

Fight back with #UniteBlue: Former South Carolina GOP head’s racist tweets & censoring Progressives for profit

February 5, 2013

" During the Super Bowl, former South Carolina GOP executive director Todd Kincannon sent out racially-charged tweets, such as,   “This Super Bowl sucks more dick than adult Trayvon Martin would have for drug money.” Later, during a power outage, he added: “It hasn’t been this dark in the Superdome since all those poors occupied it after Hurricane Katrina.” On HuffPost Live, Kincannon defended himself.  claiming that he was “high-profile trolling.” He said he didn’t understand why the killing of Trayvon was political and insisted joking about the Florida teen’s demise was fair because of the people who said “insensitive things” about his killer, George Zimmerman. ...
