Note to Readers: In protest of CISPA, we will not be publishing tomorrow. Here’s why.

April 21, 2013

Our site will not be publishing on the 22nd in protest of CISPA, which stands for the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. The invasive and somewhat vague bill would allow corporations to share your personal information with the government without a warrant.  Major internet entities such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google would be able to voluntarily share your personal information with the U.S. Government. Again, with no warrant.

Gang raped then bullied relentlessly by students girl hung herself, Anonymous is tracking the perpetrators

Rehtaeh Parsons, a 17-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia, hung herself in her family’s bathroom last week after photos of her gang rape were taken during the incident then distributed online by classmates. She fell into a coma. Rehtaech’s family pulled her off life support on Sunday, Buzzfeed reports.

Parsons was bullied relentlessly, with students sending texts such as, ’Will you have sex with me?’ and ‘You’re such a slut.’ Parsons changed schools but the harassment continued, until she committed suicide thus ending the torment. Cue: Anonymous.

This is Canada’s Steubenville, where the system disregarded the victim.
