GOP Congressman Gives Democrats Wrong Polling Place to Vote...11 Miles in the Opposite Direction

A revealing report by Phoenix, Arizona’s NBC affiliate shows Rep. Jeff Flake’s (R-AZ) U.S. Senate campaign called Democratic voters telling them to vote in the wrong precinct.  Some voters were told to drive as far away s 11 miles from their polling place, then the calls go on to urge a “vote for Flake for U.S. Senate.’

Watch:

We need to stop pretending that these are accidents, or ‘mishaps’.

These actions are deliberate, unless Flake is a complete and utter moron.  Ohio’s new Republican Secretary of Voter Suppression, Jon Husted, has trashed provisional ballots. Husted has restricted Early Voting, contrary to court orders, using the reasoning that the court’s decision was, “un-American.” Romney is taking a beating from early voters, with Obama far in the lead. This is why they want to eradicate any convenience for minorities to vote. Husted went as far as to fire two Montgomery County board of election members after they supported early voting on weekends while he strongly opposed it.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. The aforementioned tactics are permeating through the GOP — the Tea Party who ironically deem themselves as ‘patriots’ are putting feet on the ground to observe polling venues to watch us vote. I think we can safely reword the ‘true the vote’ organization as ‘thug the vote.’

Verify your polling location ahead of time.
