Alan Grayson (D-Fla), formerly a member of Congress will rejoin the House after defeating Republican opponent Todd Long. Grayson, whose personality is fiery on the floor, will represent Florida’s Democratic 9th District.

With 125 of 148 precincts reporting,  as well as early and absentee ballots — Grayson easily beat Long 62 percent by 38 percent.

Orlando Sentinel reports:

“It feels great,” said Grayson, who celebrated with supporters at Salsa Latina in Kissimmee. “I’m going to do my best when it comes to jobs, when it comes to housing, when it comes to education [and] when it comes to human needs.”

Congress is expected to keep a majority, however, they may have some of their own obstacles with determined Alan Grayson sitting on the other side of the aisle.
