A look Inside: Survivalist's Self-Made Foxhole

komonews reports:
" SEATTLE - Somewhere in King County, underneath Barry Knowles' garage, hidden by some old cardboard, sits a 10-foot by 10-foot secret bunker. Knowles built and installed the airtight bunker years ago. "Everybody wants a secret room in their house - everybody does - either to hide your things or to hide yourself if you have to," Knowles said. Knowles is one of a growing number of self-proclaimed survivalists around the country. He even appeared on National Geographic's television show "Doomsday Preppers." Knowles explains he'll survive a nuclear war, and most people won't. "Bad things could happen," Knowles said. And according to Knowles, his foxholes are selling like hotcakes all across America and he's even getting orders from other countries. " Continued here.

Tiny itty bitty homes discovered at the base of trees, filled with furniture

The Little people exist. I knew it. Take that haters!

KSHB reports, "Some tiny little people moved into Overland Park, Kan., or at least that's what city workers think. Gnome homes are popping up all over the city.

The city doesn't know who is building them, but they are intricate: miniature little doors, tables and place settings."

Cat Poisoned And Dying, Dog Saves Life With Blood Transfusion

By Sir Teddy PH.Dog

3news.co.nz Reports:
" Macy the dog saved the life of Rory the cat by donating blood. He's perfect now, but three weeks ago Rory urgently needed blood after eating rat poison. .... "He was dying. We didn't have time for the cat blood to arrive or be matched," says Rory's owner, Kim Edwards.
It was Friday night and no labs were open to check his blood type, let alone get supplies. So vet Kate Heller sought advice and was told to try dog blood. "I hadn't heard about it or read about it. It's not in any textbook," says Ms Heller.
Rory needed a donor fast. So Ms Edwards thought fast and phoned a friend in her book club.
"[I had] never heard of anything like that before. I thought she was joking," says Macy's owner, Michelle Whitemore. But Rory desperately needed the 18-month-old Labrador.
Macy was rushed to the vet where she donated 120ml of blood, and within an hour Rory the cat was saved.
It may sound wacky, but it's science. Cats don't have antibodies that reject dogs' blood, so a transfusion may buy enough time for the cat to regenerate its own red blood cells. But only one transfusion can be done because a second dose of dog blood will be the death of the cat.
"He is not out fetching the newspaper or peeing on power poles or barking yet! He is just the normal cat that we have – playful, friendly," says Ms Edwards. "

Watch: In less than one minute Louisiana sinkhole swallows large trees

A giant sinkhole opened up Wednesday in Assumption Parish, La., swallowing up large trees in less than a minute.

The Weather Channel explains, "The sinkhole, discovered Aug. 3, 2012, resulted from a collapsed underground salt dome cavern about 40 miles south of Baton Rouge. After oil and natural gas came oozing up and acres of the swampland liquefied into muck, the community's 350 residents were advised to evacuate."

NEW Product Makes Couch Cushion Pillow Fights With Live Ammo Possible!

It's time to upgrade that old pocket change, TV remote eating, home office couch to the Bulletproof Couchbunker folks.

From the wfaa news report:
" The concealed safe in the Couchbunker provides space to hide up to 40 rifles and ammunition. The bulletproof cushions are optional. "Hopefully you never need the panels," Adrain explained, adding, "but we never know the situation we're going to be in. If there's a home invasion, you can take one of the cushions, and hand it to one of your children or your spouse to protect them. We make them with arm straps, so you can hold the cushion with one hand and fire with the other hand." .... "Thirty-to-forty percent of our business goes to the state of Texas," he said. "
Sounds too good to be true? don't worry this product was field tested:
" "We did a .380, a 9mm, a .40 and a .45-caliber," Poitevent explained. Adrain added, "It will stop a .44 Magnum pointblank." "

" The patent on the design is pending. Adrain said his sofas are selling, but they are expensive, starting around $7,000. "

Spice up your new bulletproof Couchbunker with a few of these throw pillows.

UFO sighting: Real or hoax? (video)

A camera picked up this object hovering over Huntington Beach recently.

It's unknown as to why the beachgoers did not gasp, or even glance in the direction of these 'Unidentified Flying Objects' but one camera operator is all over it. I'm not saying it's definitely a hoax, but there are questions.

Kid jokes with family, says he wishes they were hit by lightning. Bam! Wish granted.

Taylor Morlock has learned a new lesson: Be careful what you wish for. Taylor and his family were driving through a storm when the young man for some reason said that he wished they would be hit by lightning. Yes, of course they were then hit by lightening.

The family SUV was struck, which knocked out its electrical system and three tires were blew out.

The family was not injured and Taylor said it is the last time he will ever make a wish like that. Y'think?
